Angle of dip- The angle between the horizontal axis passing through freely suspended magnet and the direction of earth's

magnetic field is called angle of dip.

Angle of dip 90° at the magnetic poles and zero degree at the magnetic equator.

lines between the centers of opposite slits make angle 45° with each others. It is possible therefore to set out angle of

कटी होती है। इसकी बनावट ऐसी होती है कि आमने-सामने की झिरियों के केंद्रों को मिलाने वाली रेखाएं एक-दूसरे के साथ 45° का कोण बनाती

हैं। इसलिए, इस उपकरण की मदद से 45° या 90° का कोण निर्धारित किया जा सकता है।
