The educational qualification for RRB JE 2026 depends on the post selected by the candidate. Candidates must check the exact post-wise qualification and discipline mapping given in CEN 04/2026 before selecting their preferences.
Junior Engineer (JE) : Three-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline from a recognised institution. Higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech are accepted in place of the prescribed Diploma in the same discipline.
Eligible JE Streams : Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer/IT and other allied disciplines, according to the notified post.
Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) : Three-year Diploma in Engineering in any discipline. B.E./B.Tech is also accepted in place of the Diploma.
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Candidates must check the separate qualification prescribed in the latest official corrigendum.
Final-year or result-awaiting candidates are not eligible. Candidates should verify their branch, post-wise qualification and medical standard through the official notification before applying.
