RPSC AEn is a gazetted job for students in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. It is conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission ( RPSC ). This premier commission of Rajasthan is responsible for conducting recruitment exams, procedures for hiring employees, and officers to various government departments. RPSC is one of the departments of the Government that recruits Group A, B and some other Engineering posts like RPSC (Assistant engineer for Civil Engineering), Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering Streams), Sub inspector Motor vehicle to Mechanical Engineering Streams, and polytechnic lecturer. Each state has its own Public Service Commission, which is responsible for conducting this type of examination.
This includes the recruitment of Engineering Exams like Assistant Engineer (A.En) The recruitment to Rajasthan Engineering Services and Rajasthan Sub-Ordinate Services is made through a Competitive Exam organized by the RPSC.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) recruits’ candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer in mechanical, electrical and civil engineering disciplines. These recruitments are conducted either through the State Engineering Service Exam or through recruitment exams conducted by the respective department. Currently, the RPSC has announced the recruitment of RPSC AEN Civil in the Local Self Governance Department (DLB). The selection process for the same comprises a written examination. The Written Exam will be for 120 marks.
For each incorrect answer, 1/3 of the total marks allotted to that particular question will be deducted.

After qualifying both the preliminary and mains exam, the candidate will be called in for the personality test & viva voce. The candidate must give his/her best shot in this round as it is calculated for 72 marks. There is no specified syllabus for this round, but the candidate needs to be well equipped with general knowledge, current affairs, Rajasthani language and culture. Apart from this, the candidate will be tested for his communication skills, personality, etc. Once the candidate is selected in this round, he/she will be posted in no time.

The candidates clearing the mains exam will be selected for the interview round or the personality test. The interview round does not have any particular pattern to follow. It carries 72 marks and the candidate is tested for his communication skills, knowledge of the concerned field, personality, aptitude, and general awareness.
