Mixed deciduous forests are found in eastern Rajasthan. These forests typically occur in regions
that receive between 50 and 85 cm of rainfall. They can also be described as 'dry monsoon open
forests.' Such forests are found in parts of Udaipur, Salumbar, Kota, Rajsamand, Bundi,
Chittorgarh, and Sirohi. Common tree species in these areas include Dhok, Banyan (Bargad),
Gular, Palash, Tendu, Sal, Bamboo, Mango, Jamun, Babool, and Khair. Due to the prevalence of
the Dhok tree, these are also referred to as 'Dhokda' forests.
