found that wrong scale of 1cm = 5 m was used for measurement. If the measured area is 120 m2, what will be the correct

length and correct area?

1 cm = 10 m के स्केल पर बने एक प्लान में दो बिंदुओं के बीच की दूरी 100 m मापी गई। बाद में पता चला कि माप के लिए 1 cm = 5 m का गलत स्केल इस्तेमाल किया गया था। यदि मापा गया क्षेत्रफल 120 m² है, तो सही लंबाई और सही क्षेत्रफल क्या होगा?

Solution

Given,

Correct scale = 1cm = 10m

Incorrect scale = 1cm = 5m

Measured distance (with wrong scale) = 100m

Measured area (with wrong scale) = 120m2

Correct length,

                                                               = 2× 100

                                                                = 200 m

Correct area = 

= 4 × 120m2

= 480m2
