According to Indian Standard IS 269 and IS 4031 (Part 1), the fineness of cement is tested by dry sieving through an
I.S.Sieve No. 9 (which has a mesh size of 90 microns). For Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), the weight of the residue
left on the sieve after 15 minutes of continuous sieving must not exceed 10% of the original air-dry sample weight.
