Unpaved roads: If roads are not provided with a hard pavement course of at least a WBM layer. Thus earth road and gravel road may be called unpaved roads.
Surface roads: There roads are given bituminous or cement concrete surfacing. The bituminous surfaced roads are called black topped roads.
Unsurfaced roads: These roads are not provided with bituminous or cement concrete surfacing are known as unsurfaced roads.
