As part of the 'Rajasthan Greening and Rewilding Mission'—an initiative aimed at transforming Rajasthan

into a greener state—a new scheme titled 'Tree Outside Forest in Rajasthan' (TOFIR) is being

implemented for the year 2023-24. The objective of this scheme is to expand tree cover and increase

greenery in areas located outside of designated forest zones. Under this initiative, a target has been set to

plant 50 million (5 crore) saplings annually across the state, with the collaboration of various government

departments, organizations, and citizens. Of these, 10 million (1 crore) saplings are earmarked for gochar

(grazing lands), oran (sacred groves), and other pasture lands; 10 million (1 crore) for various urban

areas; and 30 million (3 crore) will be made available to the general public through Forest Department

nurseries for planting at their homes, on their farms, and in other such locations.

और वन क्षेत्रों के बाहर हरियाली बढ़ाने के लिए वर्ष 2023-24 में ट्री आउटसाइड फॉरेस्ट इन राजस्थान (Tree Outside

Forest in Rajasthan - TOFIR) नाम से नवीन योजना संचालित की जा रही है, जिसका उद्देश्य राजस्थान में पारंपरिक वनों

के बाहर वृक्षों के कवरेज को विस्तारित करना और वन क्षेत्रों के बाहर हरियाली बढ़ाना है। इसके तहत प्रदेश में विभिन्न विभागों,

संस्थाओं और नागरिकों के सहयोग से प्रतिवर्ष 5 करोड़ पौधे लगाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इनमें से 1 करोड़ पौधे गोचर, ओरण

तथा चारागाह, 1 करोड़ पौधे विभिन्न शहरी क्षेत्रों में तथा 3 करोड़ पौधे जन साधारण को अपने घरों, खेतों इत्यादि में लगाने के

लिए वन विभाग की नर्सरियों से आमजन को उपलब्ध कराये जायेंगे।
