Lohagarh Fort, Bharatpur – Mud Fort / Earthen Fort – Built by Jat King Surajmal in 1733.
Its outer wall is made of mud, while the interior is constructed of brick and lime.
Because of the mud composition, cannonballs would sink into the wall rather than exploding
upon impact.
Consequently, even the British could not conquer it—making it an impregnable fort.
Nickname: Lohagarh (Strong as iron).
लोहागढ़ दुर्ग, भरतपुर - मिट्टी का किला / मिट्टी का दुर्ग -निर्माण: 1733 में जाट राजा सूरजमल ने करवाया।
इसकी बाहरी दीवार मिट्टी की बनी है, अंदर ईंट और चूना।
मिट्टी होने से तोप के गोले धंस जाते थे, फटते नहीं थे।
इसलिए अंग्रेज भी इसे नहीं जीत पाए - अजय दुर्ग।
