Levelling staff:-

A levelling staff is a straight rectangular rod having graduations, the foot of the staff representing zero reading.

The levelling staff may be divided into two classes-

(i) Self reading staff

There are usually three forms of self-reading staff:

Solid staff

Folding staff

Telescopic staff (Sopwith pattern)

(ii) Target staff

लेवलिंग स्टाफ:-

लेवलिंग स्टाफ एक सीधी आयताकार छड़ होती है जिस पर निशान (graduations) बने होते हैं; इस छड़ का निचला सिरा शून्य रीडिंग को

दर्शाता है।

लेवलिंग स्टाफ को दो वर्गों में बांटा जा सकता है-

(i) सेल्फ-रीडिंग स्टाफ

सेल्फ-रीडिंग स्टाफ आमतौर पर तीन प्रकार के होते हैं:

सॉलिड (ठोस) स्टाफ

फोल्डिंग (मुड़ने वाला) स्टाफ

टेलीस्कोपिक (दूरबीन की तरह फैलने वाला) स्टाफ (सोपविथ पैटर्न)
