During the Revolt of 1857, most rulers of Rajasthan assisted the British. Maharaja Sardar
Singh of Bikaner provided the most significant aid to the British and personally traveled as far
as Punjab. Takht Singh of Jodhpur and Ram Singh II of Jaipur also supplied troops and funds
to the British.
However, Maharao Ram Singh of Bundi did not assist the British during the revolt and
remained neutral.
