Who conducts the elections of Panchayat Institutions and Urban Bodies in Rajasthan?
In Rajasthan, the State Election Commission is responsible for conducting elections for
Panchayati Raj institutions—such as Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis, and Zila
Parishads and urban local bodies, including Municipalities, Municipal Councils, and Municipal
Corporations. The Election Commission of India conducts elections only for the Lok Sabha,
Legislative Assemblies, the President, and the Vice-President.
