Manikyalal Verma established the Khandlai Ashram in Sagwara (Dungarpur) in 1934 for the
education of the Bhil community. Manikyalal Verma was a renowned freedom fighter and
social reformer from Rajasthan. He founded this ashram to spread education and awareness
among the Bhils.
