UPPSC AE Apply Online

The application can be made through an online process only. The board still needs to provide a means for the offline application process. The applicant can refer to the following steps to apply online for this recruitment.

Step 2: Complete your registration by filling in basic details.

UPPSC Assistant Engineer Selection Process

The UPPSC AE Selection Process is expected to consist of two stages. These two stages are discussed extensively below.

1. Written Examination 

The written examination for the UPSSC AE post is expected to consist of two phases, i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Both examinations will have a duration of 2.5 hours each. The number of questions, too, is the same for both papers, i.e. 125. Paper I and Paper II carry 375 marks each. Paper, I will consist of two subjects, i.e. General Hindi and Concerned Subject I, whereas Paper II consists of General Awareness and Concerned Subject II.

2. Interview 

The qualified candidates are expected to go through a face-to-face interview. The Interview will be held for 100 marks. All original certificates shall be verified at the time of the interview. Candidates will also be required to furnish four passport-size Photographs, two unattested and two attested by their Head of Department where they received education or by a Gazetted Officer at the time of the Interview. Candidates serving under the Central or State Government must produce a 'No Objection Certificate.

About UPPSC AE Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the UPPSC AE Recruitment 2023 must meet the UPPSC AE eligibility criteria to fill out the application form. Those candidates who are not eligible cannot apply for this recruitment. Following are the criteria set by the exam conducting authority.

UPPSC AE Eligibility Criteria  - Age Limit

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years. The age relaxation will be applicable as follows

Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers/Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers/Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have not been born before 2nd July 1976.

The upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for physically handicapped persons of U.P

Upper age limit shall also be greater by 3 years + period of service rendered in the army for the Emergency Commissioned Officers/ Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army Personnels of U.P

UPPSC AE Eligibility Criteria - Education Qualification

Apart from the age limit, candidates are also required to meet the following expected education qualification set by the authority. The qualification varies for various departments. Therefore, go through the table below to know the qualification criteria.

The candidate must have obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering in the relevant stream.

The candidates who would have served the Territorial Army for 2 years or shall possess NCC 'B' certificate will be given preference.

 

UPPSC AE Syllabus (Expected)

The UPPSC AE syllabus for concerned or relevant subjects will depend on the discipline or the engineering stream for which the candidate has applied. It will consist of topics that are part of the core technical subjects of the relevant field. For example, in the case of the Civil Engineering discipline, questions will be asked about topics like Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis, Design of concrete structures, etc. Questions from Mechanical Engineering will be asked from subjects like Mechanics, Design of machine elements, etc. The topics from common subjects like General Hindi and General Awareness are as follows:

UPPSC AE Exam Pattern  (Expected)

The selection is expected based on a written examination. Therefore, candidates must be well versed with the UPPSC AE exam pattern before appearing for the exam.

The examination will consist of 125 such questions in each paper i.e Paper I and Paper II

The duration for each exam will be 2.5 hours.

Paper I will consist of two main subjects i.e General Hindi and Concerned/Relevant Subject I

The maximum marks for each paper are 375. Out of 375 marks, questions worth 300 marks are asked from the Concerned/Relevant subject

The general Hindi/ general awareness section will consist of only 25 questions i.e the written examination will focus majorly on the Concerned/Relevant subject

Admit card is the most crucial document which must be carried without fail for the examination. Applicants can only appear for the examination with a valid admit card. Approximately 10-12 days before the examination, the admit card will be available for download. Follow the steps to download the UPPSC AE Admit Card.

Step 1: Click on the official website of UPPSC.

Step 2: The 'UPPSC AE Admit Card ' will flash as a hyperlink. Click on that.

Step 3: Fill in the credentials like registration number., DOB/password and verification code(if specified)

Step 4: After logging in, click on "Admit card/Hall Ticket"

Step 5: Alternatively, candidates can also check the Official Website and repeat steps 2 & 3.

UPPSC AE Salary Details

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission employees are expected to be paid handsomely. The salary range and grade pay for all the recruitment will be Rs. 15,600-Rs. 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-. The UPPSC AE salary detail will be mentioned in the official notification
