RRB JE Medical Standards 2026
Medical fitness is compulsory for appointment through RRB JE. Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification must pass the prescribed Railway Medical Examination for the post they have opted for.
The exact medical category depends on the selected post. Candidates should check the Medical Standard column in the official post-parameter table before giving their final post and railway-zone preferences.
Visual acuity is an important part of Railway medical fitness. The standards below are based on CEN 04/2026 read with Corrigendum-1 dated 18 August 2026 and are indicative for general candidates.
The medical requirements against different medical standards for different categories are outlined below:

If medically unfit for the opted post, no alternate appointment is provided; medical appeal may be available as per Railway rules.
