●Grashof’s law states that a four-bar mechanism has at least one revolving link if the sum of lengths of the largest and the shortest links is less than the sum of lengths of the other two links. It is called class-I four bar linkage.

                          

●When sum of the lengths of the largest and the shortest link is more than the sum of lengths of other two link, it is known as a class-II four bar linkage.

●When equalities exist, it is called class-III four bar linkages.
