SSC JE Exam Pattern

The SSC JE exams consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II  for  Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering Degree and Diploma Students. Candidates need to qualify both Paper-I and Paper-II to be eligible for the next stage of the selection process, which include following -

 

SSC JE Paper-I Pattern:

  • Type of Paper: Objective Type (Computer-Based Examination)
  • Subjects: Paper-I is divided into three parts, and the syllabus varies depending on the candidate's engineering discipline:
  • General Engineering (Civil & Structural)
  • General Engineering (Electrical)
  • General Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Number of Questions: 200
  • Total Marks: 200 marks (each question carries 1 mark)
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC JE Paper-II Pattern :

  • Type of Paper: Objective Type (Calculator Allow)
  • Subject: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical (Based on the candidate's engineering discipline)
  • Total Marks: 300 marks
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)

NOTE :

1. Paper-I & Paper-2  will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions . in Paper-1 there will be ¼ Negative marking where as in paper-2 Negative marking will be 1/3 for ssc je mains Exams.

2. Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of performance in Paper –I will be called for Paper-II (Multi choice Questions).
