Reversed Joule cycle
The Bell
Coleman cycle (also called as the Jouleor reverse Brayton cycle) is a
refrigerator cycle. Where the working fluid is a gas that is compressed and expanded,
but does not change phase. Air is most often this working fluid. As these is no
condensation and evaporation intended in this gas cycle.
Bell Coleman consist of four process as show in figure
Where,
Process 1 – 2
:isentropic compression
Process 2 – 3
:constant pressure heat rejection
Process 3 – 4
:isentropic expansion
Process 4 – 1
:constant pressure absorption
Hence, the
correct option is (C).
