• The intersection method operates by setting up two points (stations) on one side of the river and taking angular measurements to the inaccessible object across the river. The line connecting the two stations serves as a baseline. Then, rays (sightlines) from each station to the inaccessible object are drawn. The point where these rays intersect on the map gives the location of the object. 

• In cases where an object, like a temple, is situated across a river and is inaccessible, it can be located using the intersection method. This surveying technique is particularly useful for inaccessible or distant objects because it does not require direct measurement of the distance to the object. Instead, it involves establishing two stations on the same side of the river where both stations and the object are visible from each other.
