Parging: A thin coat of plaster or mortar for giving a relatively smooth surface to rough masonry or for sealing it against moisture. 
Distempering: Distemper is a water-based wall paint and its main constituents are chalk lime, glue, and water. Oil bound distemper is an emulsion of drying oil or varnish that resists water. Distemper is applied on the wall for two coatings. 
Painting: Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color, or other medium to a solid surface. It's done after plastering.
