Unit of Measurement & Rule of Measurement: 

In booking dimension, the order shall be in the following sequence of length, breadth, and height or depth or thickness.

All work shall be measured subjected to the following tolerance, unless otherwise stated

•  Dimension shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 m.

•  Area shall be worked out to the nearest 0.01 m².

•  Cubic content shall be calculated to the nearest 0.01 m³.

•  Weight shall be worked out to the nearest 0.001 tonnes.

•  The thickness of the RCC slab shall be measured to the nearest 0.005 m.

•  The thickness of woodwork shall be measured to the nearest to 0.002 m.

•  The thickness of steel work shall be measure to the nearest 0.001 m.

• The length of the steel reinforcement bar shall be measured to the nearest 0.005 m and its diameter to the nearest 0.0001 m.

• Area shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 m².but the area of steel shall be measured to the nearest 0.0001 m².

• Volume shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 m³. But volume of wood shall be measured to nearest 0.001 m³.
