Bed bars in the canal - These bed bars are usually masonry walls constructed at the bottom of the canal such that the top of each bar, is flush with the theoretical bed level and the side of the canal. The bed bars reveal whether the canal is silting or scouring in any section of the canal. So it is used to watch general behaviour of canal.
