bundle conductors, the effect on the critical voltage required for the
formation of corona will increase.
Because bundling of conductor effectively increase diameter. Hence at the same voltage the voltage gradient on the surface of the conductor decreases therefore the value of critical voltage increase.
Consequently
bundling at the same voltage reduces corona loss.
