(i) Static indeterminacy of 2–D Rigid frame, 
DS = 3m + re – 3j – rr
Where, 
m = Number of members = 11
re = Total external reactions = 9
j = Number of joints = 10
rr = Released reactions = 0
So, DS = 3 × 11 + 9 – 3 × 10 – 0
DS = 12
(ii) Kinematic indeterminacy of 2–D Rigid frame, 
DK = 3j – re – m
Where,
m = Number of members = 11
re = Total external reactions = 9
j = Number of joints = 10
So, DK = 3 × 10 – 9 – 11
DK = 10
