Different forms of bitumen are as follows: 
1) Bitumen emulsion: 
It is a liquid product containing bitumen to a great extent in an aqueous medium. 
Depending upon the stability of the protective coating of the emulsifying agent, the emulsions are classified as, rapid setting (RS), medium setting (MS), and slow setting (SS) 
2) Blown bitumen: 
It is obtained by passing air under pressure at high temperatures through the bitumen. 
It is used for roofing and damp proofing and also in the maintenance of pipe asphalt and joint fillers.
3) Cutback bitumen: 
Obtained by fluxing asphaltic bitumen in presence of some suitable liquid distillates of coal tar and petroleum. 
Mainly used in road construction and in soil stabilization. 
Commercially available in 3 forms: 
a) Rapid curing (RC): Contains Naptha or gasoline 
b) Medium curing (MC): Contains kerosene 
c) Slow curing (SC): Contains oils and fluxing agents 
4) Plastic bitumen: 
Consist of bitumen, thinner, and a suitable filler. The amount of inert filler is about 40 - 45%. 
It is used for filling cracks in masonry structures, stopping leakage, etc. 
5) Straight run bitumen: 
It is the bitumen being distilled to a definite viscosity or penetration without further treatment
