Proximity effect and skin effect
Skin effect - It is the tendency of alternating high frequency current towards the surface of the conducting material. This causes to restricts the current to a small part of the total cross-sectional area, and so the effect of increasing the resistance of the conductor.
Proximity effect - The alternating flux in a conductor is caused by the current of other nearby conductor. This causes increases in the resistance of a conductor.
