Paint mainly consists of pigment and vehicle. The vehicle is the liquid portion of paint in which the pigment is dispersed. It
carries the pigment and helps the paint spread uniformly over the surface.

• Vehicle: Liquid part of the paint; carries/ binds the pigment.
• Solvent: Adjusts viscosity and improves workability.
