Given:

Piston mass   (m) = 60kg

Piston cross sectional area (A) = 0.04 m2

Temperature of gas (T) = 70o C

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/ sec2


Final pressure of gas inside the cylinder = Atmospheric pressure acting on the piston + Pressure acting due to piston on gas

P final = P atm + P piston 

According to question, the entire system is placed in a vacuum chamber. Therefore, P atm must be zero.
