As given in question the area of jet of liquid at outlet is equal to the area of mouthpiece, means the value of CC (coefficient of contraction) is 1 and for mouthpiece the value of Cv (coefficient of velocity) is 0.855
As we know that,
CD(coefficient of discharge) = CC (coefficient of contraction) × Cv (coefficient of velocity)
Hence, CD = CC × Cv
CD = 1 × 0.855
CD = 0.855
